Hybridworks

Truly Circular Textile Solutions

92 million tons of textile waste are generated globally each year — enough to fill one garbage truck every second. And the biggest blocker to circularity?
Blended textiles. We solve that.

Hybridworks offers complete recovery of discarded blended textiles

What we do

We separate blended fabrics into their original components — cotton fibers and polyester monomers.

The result: natural fibers ready to spin again, and chemical ingredients ready to reuse. No waste, no downcycling.

The only technology delivering virgin-quality TPA and intact cotton fibers from blended textiles.

Our Truly Circular Process

In relentless pursuit of more sustainable solutions for today’s mindful manufacturers.

Hybridworks Outputs

  • Intact Cotton

Our process recovers natural fibers at full length and strength, ready to be spun again — not downcycled.

  • Purified PTA

We isolate terephthalic acid at ≥99.5% purity — equivalent to virgin-grade, usable in new polyester production.

  • Recovered MEG

Monoethylene glycol is separated and cleaned, ready to re-enter polymer synthesis without waste.

Hybridworks Advantages

  • Energy Efficient

Our revolutionary process is designed to increase energy efficiency in textile recycling. By minimizing the water and heat required, we not only contribute to resource conservation but also reduce the overall environmental impact of textile recycling and manufacturing processes.

  • Clean and Green

Our recycling process produces no toxic waste byproducts, ensuring that every step aligns with the highest environmental standards. Hybridworks delivers sustainable solutions without compromising on performance.

  • Seamless Process

Unlike other textile recycling companies, our process does not require the laborious step of removing textile attachments such as zippers and buttons in advance of processing waste garments, nor does it require garment shredding.

  • Custom Solutions

Our solutions can be tailored to meet your manufacturing needs. Whether you're a waste textile collection company, a textile manufacturer, a plastics producer, or anyone interested in circular products our capabilities are adaptable to meet the requirements of your sustainability goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Hybridworks is a textile recycling company focused on solving one of the fashion industry’s biggest challenges: blended textile waste. We specialize in separating cotton–polyester blends and recovering 100% intact cotton fiber, while also breaking polyester down into its core chemical building blocks for reuse.

  • Most textiles today are made from blended fibers, such as cotton and polyester. These blends are extremely difficult to recycle, which means the majority end up in landfills or incinerators. Hybridworks enables true circularity for blended textiles, unlocking value from waste that was previously considered unrecyclable.

  • There are many companies doing important work to keep textiles out of landfills, and they play a critical role in improving sustainability across the industry. However, Hybridworks is the first company to do what we do.

Hybridworks is uniquely focused on separating blended textiles, like cotton and polyester, without damaging the cotton fiber. While most recycling processes break fibers down into lower-quality materials or only focus on plastics, our technology is different.

    Our process:

    • Preserves cotton as fully intact, high-quality fiber, so it can be reused as cotton again

    • Separates polyester into its original building blocks, which can be reused to make new polyester

    • Does not require shredding, reducing material loss and processing steps

    • Uses significantly less water and energy than traditional recycling methods

    • Allows materials to be reused repeatedly, enabling a truly circular system instead of one-time recycling

In short, Hybridworks makes it possible to turn blended textile waste into high-quality, reusable materials - something that hasn’t been possible before.

  • We currently focus on cotton-polyester blended textiles, including:

    • Post-industrial textile waste

    • Manufacturing scraps

    • End-of-life garments and uniforms

We are continually expanding the range of materials we can process as our technology scales.

  • Hybridworks’ pilot plant is located in Xenia, Ohio, where construction has been completed and testing operations are underway. This facility allows us to validate our technology, optimize operations, and prepare for scaled commercial production.

Our long-term goal is to expand regionally, developing additional facilities in strategic locations to efficiently process textile waste closer to where it is generated and support broader market demand.
